With so many places to eat in Denver, it’s sometimes impossible to narrow down the choices. But if you’re simply in the mood for a glass of wine (or bottle because it’s just been that kind of day) and a small plate, then we’ve got you covered. While this list isn’t comprehensive of all of the Denver wine bars, it’s a diverse selection that may be just what you are looking for.

Postino

Located in LoHi, Postino is an Italian “WineCafe.” They have an extensive wine list that tends to change seasonally as well as beer and cider. As far as food options go, they have an extensive list of bruschetta, all of which are delicious. You can also get a Panini, charcuterie, or soup and salad. One of our favorite things about Postino is their happy hour offerings – you can get $5 wine or beer by the glass from open until 5 pm every day of the week. Or if you like a later night, on Monday and Tuesday after 8 pm, you can get a bottle of wine and bruschetta for only $20. Now that’s a deal we just can’t pass up!

Bookbar

denver wine barsThis is a great place for wine and book lovers alike. It’s both a bookstore and a Denver wine bar and a place that we can spend many hours on any night of the week. Along with a selection of red and white wines, they have beer, coffee, small bites, and sandwiches. They have daily happy hours and $12 bottomless mimosas on Sunday. They host events for kids and adults, including a field trip to the cat café. We highly recommend you take a couple of hours to visit Bookbar and enjoy some wine while browsing some good books. Definitely one of the best bars in Denver.

Crú Food & Wine Bar

denver wine barsCru is a food & wine bar that is reminiscent of Napa, located in the middle of Larimer square in Denver. They have an incredibly extensive list of bottles of wine (there are hundreds to choose from), but if you don’t want to stick to a bottle, you can order a flight of wine. There are 10+ options that include three glasses per flight. Cru also has a weekly small bites happy hour as well as Pizza Mondays – select a bottle of wine and they’ll provide the pizza. You can’t go wrong with that!

Cana Wine Bar

They have many white, red, and rosé wines to choose from, but if you can’t make up your mind, you can also build your own flight of wine. Cana has unique happy hour options Tuesday – Friday nights. They also offer small plates, large plates, and hummus and pita.

The Truffle Table

If you love cheese (and wine, obviously) this is the perfect place for you. As both a wine and cheese bar, they have a carefully curated wine list and a delicious selection of cheeses. With a wine list that changes seasonally and the option to pair your wine with a meat and cheese plate, appetizers, or entrees, you’ll find yourself wanting to come back. Wednesday nights at the Truffle Table are our favorite because of the all-you-can-eat Raclette! At $40/couple this deal is perfect for a date night!
