Say goodbye to summer and hello to the season of pumpkin-spice-flavored everything. It’s fall, the season when ski resorts open and the trees are changing colors in the beautiful Colorado mountains. Plan a weekend getaway to a few Colorado wine events to usher in the Colorado fall season. Below you will find 3 wine events happening throughout Colorado in October and November. Whether you’re a wine fanatic or looking for more family-friendly activities, there’s enough here for everyone to get a fill of fall.


Wine in the Pines

This event was founded by Mike and Margaret Smith to honor their daughter, Kelly, who was born with Cerebral Palsy. The nearly 800 guests who attend seek to ensure that all people with disabilities have a quality life of dignity and inclusion within their community.The Kelly Smith Employment Center provides services to over 4,500 adults & teems with disabilities statewide each year. 89 cents of every dollar goes directly to the life-changing work of Ability Connection Colorado.

 

On October 20th you can enjoy 5 courses expertly prepared by Keystone Ranch’s Executive Chef, Vincent D’Amato, to complement select wine pairings. The next day, October 21st, experience an elegant tasting, featuring live entertainment, silent and live auctions, nearly 500 wines.


Denver International Wine and Food Festival

The 13th Annual Denver International Wine Festival is the premier International Wine & Food Festival in the Rocky Mountains! Join us November 1 to 3, 2017 for the most delicious ever international celebration of wine & cuisine.

 

At Denver International Wine Festival there are enough events to pack into four days, including a food-and-wine pairing competition (contestants are Colorado chefs); a tasting of 400 wines, beers, spirits; educational seminars about wine; and a daylong tour of three local wineries, plus one distillery.


19th Annual Beaujolais and Beyond Festival

This wine and food event is a fundraiser for the Rocky Mountain French-American Chamber of Commerce. It celebrates the arrival of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau wine to the Rocky Mountain Region and gathers over 600 French and American business leaders, Francophiles, and food and wine enthusiasts from across the Denver metro area. Add French wine, over 40 varieties to the food and you have a fantastic wine festival!
