CINCO DE MAYO

Where: East Colfax Avenue Denver, CO 80202
The Cinco de Mayo “Celebrate Culture” Festival happens every year on the weekend of May 5th. Although this festival is extremely fun and has a ton of delicious Mexican food it also has an altruistic goal of the economic development in poor communities. The festival also helps to provide affordable housing opportunities to low and moderate income families and individuals.

DENVER DAY OF ROCK
Denver Day of Rock is one of very few festivals that happen in the heart of downtown. Literally all the performances happen on 16th st. Mall, making it convenient to walk from one performance to another. There are a total of five stages and numerous food and beer vendors set up throughout downtown for this epic event. The event provides free music to rock downtown from 2:30 to about 10pm.
As is the case with other free events and concerts, Denver’s Day of Rock is a fundraiser for Amp the Cause, a Denver non-profit that raises funds for more than 50 children’s charities.
