Colorado Wine Festivals
Colorado offers a wide variety of different food and wine establishments that are sure to please each and every attendee. Throughout each year, Denver and its surrounding areas host several food and Colorado wine festivals. In the upcoming month of September, there’s a festival almost every weekend. Plan your weekend around one of these delicious events, which almost always include live entertainment, cooking demos and artwork for purchase.
A TASTE OF COLORADO: Sept. 1-4, 2017
More than 60 local Coloradan favorite restaurants, food trucks, and food establishments will gather at the festival, featuring small portions to full meals. Wineries appearing at the event include Colterris Wine, Red Fox Cellars, Talon Wine Brands and Carlson Vineyards. In addition, you will find unique arts and crafts, home and gift items, furniture, live music and events for kids such as carnival rides. This event takes place at Civic Center Park in Downtown Denver and is FREE admission.
FESTIVAL ITALIANO: Sept. 9-10, 2017
Festival Italiano at Lakewood’s Belmar entertainment and dining destination celebrates Italian culture featuring the finest Italian food, Colorado wine, and artisan vendors. In addition, this event includes a children’s grape stomp, live entertainment, chef demonstrations and a bocce tournament! A portion of all sales will go to Project Angel Heart.
COLORADO MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL IN THE PARK: Sept. 16, 2017
Palisade, in the heart of Colorado’s wine country, will be hosting the “Festival in the Park” celebration. This is the states’s oldest and largest wine festival. Vsitors will be able to sample wines from over 50 wineries, meet wine, cheese and peach growers and talk with painters, ice carvers and chefs. Savor a chocolate-and-port pairing, tour a winery, attend winemaker dinners and even stomp a few grapes. Tickets include entrance into the park, a commemorative tasting glass, wine tote and so much more!
SNOWMASS WINE FESTIVAL: Sept. 15-16, 2017
Begin your weekend with a four-course wine dinner at the Viceroy Snowmass prepared by chef Will Nolan. This dinner features five wines from different areas in California. Attendees may sample of an array of wines from around the world as well cuisine from local chefs. Not only will you get to sample wine, live music will be performed and a silent auction takes place. The silent auction offers items from local shops and restaurants, wines and artwork.
